Janaan: Mae? Really? That's what's been bothering you all morning? Bah! Do you remember what things were like before they took her away? Because I do. Every other day, she'd give you some new reason to obsess about her. She'd get in a fight with some aberrant kid from school, or do something illegal and swear you to secrecy, or tell some ridiculous lie, and make you help her maintain it. She tortured you constantly, don't you remember? Since she's been gone, you've been fine. All she has to do is fake a suicide attempt, and she can get you obsessed all over again.
Sommia: I . . . I need to leave.
Sommia stands up.
Janaan: No, you don't! I don't know what's going through your head right now, but you don't have to do anything!
Sommia (V.O.): I'm awake. I'm awake, right?

Sommia stands up.
