Lesson Learned

A good ink can save a bad pencil. A good vector edit can save a sloppy ink. Nothing can save a bad panel layout.


I remember reading once that a good ink could save a bad pencil. Well, it certainly can. Similarly, a good vector edit can save an ink.
Yes, this is the last panel of page four, and yes, that ink is real. I was tired. I got sloppy. Thank God for Inkscape. As artists in the digital age, we can get away with a lot. Perhaps too much.
Unfortunately, a bad panel layout is a bad panel layout, and the best illustrations in the world can't save it.
