Some time in the next few weeks, as scene two progresses, I'm going to be switching all of the links to the individual scene one pages (1-10) into a single link to a SCENE 1 index page. As I post new pages, I'll continue merging links into scenes, chapters--possibly even parts--but the newest pages will still be listed independently. This is all for your benefit, dear reader; I'm hoping it will make the archives easier to navigate.
The changes probably won't happen for a while, but I just thought I'd let you know in advance.
Also, page 11 is out!
See you soon.

End of Scene One
Did you see that? Yes, scene one is officially over! The updates are going to be a bit sporadic for a while, but *hopefully* I'll be able to find a schedule that works.
Hmm, what else? If you're reading, feel free to comment. I love comments, even it they're just a little "hello". It's just nice to know my work is reaching someone. Thanks for reading. See you again soon!

Releasing Page 7
Page 7 is out.
I need to get faster at this. Vector-editing the ink for a single panel should NOT take six hours.

I'm back, yes for real this time. Thanks for your patience, imaginary reader.
I love page six. And page seven (to be released on Tuesday). We are fast approaching the end of scene one, and the beginning of the rest of the story. Oh, happy day!

Lesson Learned
A good ink can save a bad pencil. A good vector edit can save a sloppy ink. Nothing can save a bad panel layout.
I remember reading once that a good ink could save a bad pencil. Well, it certainly can. Similarly, a good vector edit can save an ink.
Yes, this is the last panel of page four, and yes, that ink is real. I was tired. I got sloppy. Thank God for Inkscape. As artists in the digital age, we can get away with a lot. Perhaps too much.
Unfortunately, a bad panel layout is a bad panel layout, and the best illustrations in the world can't save it.

Scene 1!
Scene 1 is officially in development! Thank you all (not that anyone's reading this) for your patience. Sommia sends her regards.

Soon. I promise.
Hello. So, I promised you pages, and they're coming, but not before the 23rd of June. I have exams coming up, so I won't have much time, but I'm basically ready to start.
I've also suffered a small setback. I recently cleared my computer accidentally (oh, come on, who hasn't?) and consequently lost a lot of files. Fortunately, I have hard copies of almost everything, so this isn't a total disaster.
Here's a little something to tide you over.
This is concept art for Sommia's street. (It isn't really that colour.) Because overpopulation is an issue in Sommia's world, most people live in enormous towers, called "complexes", which are linked together by bridges, and intricate train systems. Complexes house stores, houses, offices, hospitals, police stations--anything a city needs, really. Houses inside complexes are crammed close together, like a motel in our world, or a condominium or apartment building with doors for every home. Sommia's street also has small front porches. Personal automobiles are not used, because the many floors and levels of the cities would make them extremely inconvenient. Most people travel on foot, or use public transit. Police and medics have designated train cars, accessible only from police and medical stations, as well as designated elevators, and bicycles or small electric vehicles for short distances. They can be driven into elevators and trains.

Restarting
I'm restarting again, hopefully for the last time. I'll be posting the first pages of version four (yes, really) within the next couple of weeks. For the mean time, I'll leave version three in the sidebar, but when version four comes out, that will be there instead. I'll post version three in the 'extras' section. Thanks for your patience. In the mean time, here's a sample of what the art should look like:
Pretty nice compared to version three, huh?
Well, see you soon!

Progress
Prologue is almost done. Three or four more pages, maybe? I think I've done five pages this week . . . mostly dialogue, mind. I'm very excited.
I still have some plot-ironing to do before I can move on to the actual story. OK, more than ironing. This plot is barely out of the washing machine. I've made the mistake of not planning too many times.
